We have a large garden to maintain & could really do with some help! Skye Basecamp is aimed at climbers and active
visitors. The Hostel opened in summer 2016 to complement our
mountaineering business, Skye Guides. The Hostel offers beds in small shared
dorms, private rooms and self-catering lets. Our facilities are high specification
with power showers, strong wooden beds, great kitchen facilities, a bespoke
drying room, relaxing lounge and a pool room. This live-in post would be
suitable for a couple looking for a job-share, or an individual looking for
full-time seasonal employment. The successful applicant/s will contribute to
the day-to-day running and development of the hostel, in exchange for a great
rate of pay and accommodation.
Galloway Activity Centre employs up to 30 people in the peak season in a variety of different roles.
Recruitment goes on all year round but our main job push is at the start of the year.
All the equipment at the Centre is available for your use out of hours. Food and basic accommodation can be provided.
At May 2017 we have a particular requirement for a cleaner two days a week and kitchen helper.

Then there are the ducks, hens, sheep, Django the dog, poly tunnel, gardens and woodlands.
All of this is within a 6 acre homestead in Nethy Bridge in the Cairngorms National Park, Scottish Highlands.

The Smugglers Hostel is a lovely, small community run hostel in the village of Tomintoul, in the Cairngorms National Park. We are looking for trustworthy, sociable, hardworking and flexible volunteers with good spoken English. The work will involve helping to clean the hostel, occasional food preparation and greeting and checking in our guests.
Our volunteers can join us anytime from May to September and preferably stay at least one month, but longer may be possible. We ask for 24 hours work a week spread over 4 days. This work will involve weekends and some evenings and above all you need to be flexible as every day is different! You would have 3 free days each week to explore our beautiful surroundings and pursue your own interests. Outdoor activity opportunities are quite wonderful in this part of the highlands and wildlife is on our doorstep, as is the stunning landscape of the Cairngorm Mountains.
In return, you will be provided with a bed in a small dorm, your own secure locker, free Wifi, use of a bike and a daily breakfast. There is also a large kitchen and communal lounge for you to make use of. Family evening meals are also sometimes offered by the hostel manager and there is the opportunity for you to get involved with local events and make new friends.
