Really friendly and informative staff, both wittily humorous & enthusiastic, with quite exceptional 'local knowledge', advising visitors about all locations and attractions and places to visit on Skye and how best to get there, with an impressive array of maps at hand and a comprehensive collection of bus-timetables and 'flyers'. This is not only a Hostel; this is an Independent Tourist Information Service too! Lovely place to stay and to meet other backpackers; very relaxed and helpful atmosphere; clean and comfortable rooms & bathrooms; and a huge kitchen. Where you have a view (from the kitchen table, at breakfast and in the evenings when the weather is usually at its clearest) of the jagged and 'inaccessible' skyline of the Black Cuillin of Skye, to the south. Really, this Hostel is an exceptionally good place to stay; and in large part it's the staff that make it so.
