Ideal stay on the way to the Highlands

Reviewed on March 4, 2019

Morags lodge in Fort Augustus is conveniently located for daytrips to Inverness, around Loch Ness and close enough to Culloden Battlefields and Clava Cairns. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was hearty and there were great options for vegetarians. I was part of a tour group but I can imagine it being a fantastic place to meet other like-minded travellers. There is something for everyone- a bookshelf and cosy couches, indoor bar and quiz night as well as good restaurants close by. Highly recommended.

The greatly improved Wi-fi is much appreciated- thank you! The whole weekend was superb - the music sessions every night in every corner are unequalled anywhere else! A coffee filter of some sort in the kitchen would be appreciated.
