Comfortable, friendly staff, delicious breakfast!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jessie Mac's, and were sad it was only for one night. We didn't get to test out the kitchen, but greatly enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning (we didn't try the full breakfast). Our room was very comfortable, with an en-suite bathroom. Nice cosy communal living room, and friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended!

This was our first family hostelling experience and we're looking forward to many more to come. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome at Jessie Macs. The room was spacious, even with the 5 of us in there. We had a double bed, single bed and bunk beds. There was a TV in the room and an ensuite. Perfect! And there were lots of extras I didn't expect - tea, coffee, biscuits, lovely fluffy towels and really comfy beds. The kitchen was large enough for several people to use at once. We catered for ourselves, but lots of people had the breakfast option provide which looked impressive and included freshly baked muffins. The lounge has plenty of seating and a little nook filled with bean bags that the kids loved. The local area was great for walking and there was plenty to do. We'll definitely be back.
