Situated within the crofting township of South Galson on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis. Just 500 metres to the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean and amazing views towards the Butt of Lewis. The area is ideal for good coastal walking, bird and wildlife, history, archaeology, and a perfect place to weather watch. Wintertime gives way to star gazing and some spectacular views of the Northern lights! The Ness to Tolsta path - moorland to sandy beaches across the top peninsula of lewis Is breathtaking. There are good surfing beaches within a few miles. Callanish stones, Carloway broch and the westside of lewis are within easy reach. 9 miles for the lighthouse at the Butt of Lewis can end the Hebridean way. Stornoway is just 25 minutes drive away for the ferry/air and shopping. Shops Bar & Laundrette within easy reach.
The bunkhouse consists of a single dorm containing six bunks plus 2 settee beds to sleep 8 max, a kitchen/diner and two shower rooms. The bunkhouse is perfect for exclusive use for a group of friends and family. Small but perfectly formed, it is warm and cosy with a lovely feel, perfect to come home to after a perfect day spent exploring our magical part of the island. Located on the A857 20 miles north of Stornoway,and enjoys a regular bus service six days a week, 7am-11pm daily.
