Forest Way Bunkhouse is the ideal location to tour the North West Highlands. Situated near the Braemore Junction gives you many options to travel north/south/east or west. Nearby there are many mountains to be climbed and beaches to relax on. The charming fishing village of Ullapool is only 9 miles up the road and if you like seafood then there is no finer place to come.
We are situated in the heart of Strathmore next to the River Broom and marvellous mountain scenery. There are many waterfalls including the spectacluar Corrieshalloch Gorge and the Lael Forest walking trail is on our doorstep. There is an abundance of delightful walks nearby (both low level and many mountains) with some interesting fauna, wildlife and geology. The bunkhouse was built in 2009 and offers a pleasant and clean environment with modern facilities. There are two bedrooms and each bedroom has two bunk beds and its very own en-suite shower and toilet. The bunkhouse also benefits from an underfloor heating system so to keep the whole bunkhouse nice and cosy and reliable showers, perfect after a long hard day on the hills. The Bunkhouse can be made available for exclusive use on request. On the doorstep are more Munros and Corbetts than you can shake a stick at. Beinn Dearg and her companions can be climbed immediately from the house and the Fannich Hills, An Teallach and the Fisherfield forest are all within a few miles drive. North of Ullapool is the Geopark of Inverpolly and this offers some of the most dramatic and beautiful scenery in the country. The picturesque village of Ullapool is nearby and has various places to eat and drink. There is also a supermarket and other services.

Great central place to stay as we were a small group going hillwalking. So was very central to our needs. Clean and had everything you need.I would recommend to others, and stay again myself.

one of my favourite bunkhouses , perfectly situated for exploring NW Scotland. The accommodation is comfortable and clean and has ample crockery and dishes for up to eight people. The bunk beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space in the bedrooms for bags etc. Iain , the owner is very friendly and has a wealth of knowledge about the area , especially the Hills ! . All in all a very good bunkhouse , great location , very comfortable and very reasonably priced . I would recommend to anyone
