I needed a single room overnight in Oban without too much fuss or expense while on a business trip. Corran House was ideal - the room was really good value, warm and spacious, comfy bed, lots of hot water. I prefer the option to self cater and the kitchen was clean and well equipped, while conveniently offering basic food items with an honesty box. There is also a spacious lounge and wifi throughout with helpful staff on hand. Recommended for all types and ages of traveller!

I stayed twice at Corran House, once in November, once end of September. I mainly like the location, right in front of the water. A little stroll by the shore goes to the town centre closeby. The staff is very cool and helpful, the rooms cosy, I liked the fact that the matresses are quite large. In the evening, we enjoyed a beer in the pub downstairs. The funny thing is that from the room, you cannot suspect that there is a pub in the basement... It is very quiet. In the morning, we helped ourselves for breakfast and simply left the money in the honesty jar. It was a perfect start to my holidays on the islands !
