The inspiration for the hostel originated from Pam's (the owner/warden) parents. They met while visiting hostels in Scotland during the late 1940s (SYHA) and Pam inherited the bug! She designed and project managed the build starting from a piece of waste ground and during that time has learned to turn her hand to many different building skills. The result is a fantastic purpose-built hostel designed to offer safe, comfortable and practical accommodation for travellers on a budget. They even have a mascot, Jack to greet you (a life size model of a backpacker, named after Pam’s Dad).
We have undercover bike storage for any cyclists....BUT THEY MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN LOCKS...AND NO BIKES ARE ALLOWED WITHIN THE BUILDING!

Modern, well equipped hostel worth staying in. Because the bus was late, we even got a lift to the next village to catch another bus to Oban. Thank you! Best regards
