Ballater Hostel (formerly Habitat @Ballater) is a 25 bed five star self-catering hostel situated in the centre of Ballater, near Balmoral, on the east side of the Cairngorms National Park.


Braemar Lodge Bunkhouse, within the extensive grounds of Braemar Lodge Hotel is an ideal base for walking, climbing and ski-ing. The great value bunkhouse is two minutes from the centre of Braemar in the heart of Royal Deeside, providing comfortable hostel accommodation for 12 people. There are two shower rooms, one of which is suitable for wheelchair access, drying and laundry facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. Situated in Royal Deeside, the bunkhouse is surrounded by some of the country’s highest mountains; the whole area is a mecca for the outdoor enthusiast.


The groups-only bunkhouse sleeping 8 people is set in the fields of a working farm overlooking the beautiful river Spey valley in the Cairngorms National Park. It is easily accessible by road or rail on the Inverness routes.The family room sleeps 4 with double bed and adult bunkbed. The woodpanelled loft above sleeps 2 singles.The separate mezzanine sleeps another 2. Fully fitted kitchen, tv lounge, free wi-fi. Bedding and towels provided. Plenty of space for hardy campers if required (but no specialised facilities).

Inverness and Loch Ness
