Dervaig Bunkrooms: Come and stay in our village!

About Us

Dervaig Hall is a community run amenity in the pretty village of Dervaig which is seven miles from Tobermory in the beautiful northwest part of the Island of Mull.

Dervaig is an attractive Conservation village on the edge of sheltered sea loch. A well stocked post office/shop and a "Coffee and Books" shop are found among the pretty whitewashed houses bordering the quiet main street. There are lovely walks along Loch Cuin and to nearby standing stones. The Bellachroy Hotel, 100m away, is the oldest Inn on the island and a traditional village pub providing a nearby place to eat out! The sparkling sands and turquoise waters of Calgary Bay are 5 miles away, and rated as one of the world's top beaches.

The Dervaig Village Hall was built after many years of fund raising in 1999 and is an important focal point for the village and scattered outlying areas. It has a wood lined main hall which is used throughout the year by the local community for events (like the producers' markets, weddings, ceilidhs, meetings, badminton, lunch club, yoga, PE, youth club). The accommodation offered in the bunkrooms brings in valuable income to help this continue. Bunkroom guests are welcome to join in the ceilidhs and they are a good opportunity to meet some of the locals.

For guests staying in the bunkrooms, there is a well equipped kitchen with separate dining and sitting area. There are beds for up to 10 guests; one bunkroom for up to 6 people and a family room sleeping 4. Each room has an ensuite bathroom with WC, shower and washbasin. There are further showers and toilets within the hall. The main Hall can be hired by Hall guests if pre-arranged with the Hall Keeper.
