The majority of our hostels are set up to take groups. Depending on the size of the hostel, from 8 people to over 70 people can be accommodated; each hostel is unique so do check with the establishment. To help in your search, use our “Find a Hostel” box, choose your area and put in appropriate search phrases such as “large groups” to bring up a list of hostels. All hostels have fully equipped self catering kitchens, dining space and TV lounges to provide social areas for groups to mingle. Group booking may not necessarily mean the exclusive use of the building so check with your accommodation provider.

Hostels can join the Visit Scotland Welcome Scheme for Groups Welcome which has been specially developed for hostels.
Hostelling is ideal for group gatherings
Hostelling is informal, sociable, fun and very good value for groups which can include businesses, schools, clubs, or family and friends. Some hostels have function rooms and offer adventure and other activities. All have self catering facilities to help keep costs down. Special rates can often be on offer mid week and off season.
